A brief technical background

Simon graduated in 1994 from the University of Southampton with a First Class Honours degree in Computer Science and winning the Addison Wesley Book prize for essays on Applications, Management and Awareness.

He went on to spend 5 years with ICL (now Fujitsu) moving from retail systems into Interactive Internet based retailing where he was a technical architect on a Multi-Channel eCommerce proposition that included the Internet Fridge and Workplace shopping system demonstrated at the National Retail Federation show in New York.

He is now a Senior Consultant at Charteris, an IT Consultancy firm based in London and Edinburgh working with technologies such as Microsoft .NET, Biztalk Server, Commerce Server and WSE Web services.

In his spare time he expresses his own unique interpretation of timing and melody on his electric guitar.
